Milk & dairy: Not approved for female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, including dry cows. Do not use in veal calves.
Resflor Gold combines the antibiotic in Nuflor (florfenicol) with the anti-inflammatory in Banamine (flunixin) in a single subcutaneous shot, aimed at BRD cases running a fever. The combination carries a 38-day slaughter withdrawal — the same as single-dose SQ Nuflor.
Keep in mind you have given two drugs. If you follow up later with more flunixin or more florfenicol, you are stacking doses of something the animal already received, and the label withdrawals no longer cover you without your vet’s input.
What the label requires
- Slaughter withdrawal: 38 days from the single SQ dose.
- Contains flunixin — do not double up with Banamine on the same animal without veterinary guidance.
- SQ only, in the neck; label limits the volume per injection site (10 mL).
- Not for female dairy cattle 20 months or older, or veal calves.
Always follow the label on your bottle and your veterinarian's directions. Extra-label use — any different dose, route, or frequency — voids the withdrawal above; your vet sets the interval instead, usually via FARAD. When in doubt, hold longer. Common questions
Is the Resflor Gold withdrawal different from Nuflor?
It matches the single-dose subcutaneous Nuflor figure: 38 days. The flunixin component clears much faster than that, so the florfenicol side drives the withdrawal.
Can I give Banamine to an animal I treated with Resflor Gold?
The animal already received flunixin in the Resflor Gold dose. Additional flunixin within the same window is a stacked dose that the label withdrawal was not established for — ask your veterinarian before re-dosing.
