Milk & dairy: Not for female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, or veal calves.

LongRange packs eprinomectin into an extended-release injection that keeps working 100 to 150 days — and carries a 48-day slaughter withdrawal, the polar opposite of its zero-day pour-on sibling Eprinex. Same molecule, completely different formulation, completely different rules.

Because it is designed for season-long control in stockers and young cattle, the 48-day hold rarely bites — but it absolutely matters if plans change and cattle ship early. Note it is prescription-only, unlike most dewormers.

What the label requires

  • Slaughter withdrawal: 48 days from the injection.
  • Same active as zero-day Eprinex pour-on — the formulation, not the molecule, sets the withdrawal.
  • Prescription product; not for dairy females 20 months+ or veal.

Always follow the label on your bottle and your veterinarian's directions. Extra-label use — any different dose, route, or frequency — voids the withdrawal above; your vet sets the interval instead, usually via FARAD. When in doubt, hold longer. Never ship a treated animal by mistake

Log a treatment in HerdCommand with its withdrawal days and the animal carries a hold flag until the date clears — and the sale workflow warns you before a flagged animal ends up on a load. Works from the phone in your pocket, at the chute.

Common questions

Why does LongRange have a 48-day withdrawal when Eprinex has none?

The extended-release carrier holds drug in the animal for months — that is the entire point of the product — so tissue residues persist accordingly. Eprinex pour-on delivers a short pulse that clears fast. Same eprinomectin, different delivery, different label.
